Well, the quilt show was tonight - There is not much to say at this point - everything really went as I expected it to. It was fun - lots of people came - lots of people came. Most people come for free wine. But, I worked a trade on a quilt - tattoo work for quilt - Im happy with that. I think Im going to give the tattoo gift cirt to a friend.

The quilts looked great in the gallery - and in the restaurant. I had two quilt shows and there are quilts in another store. I am really working to make this dream a reality.

Ok - now time to talk dishes.

I made this quilt last year for a friend for Christmas - it has every color of fiesta ever made in it - Dont tell, but I know people .. and I knew what color fiesta was going to be introduced in the spring last year so that color is in there, too. I color matched the fabric to dishes so the colors are very close to exact.

AND -- onto the next topic - I did so many "y" seams on that quilt - and that was b-4 I knew what I "y" seam was - and b-4 I even bothered to use a seam allowance.

AND -- its made from tee shirts

And -- its not interfaced

And it lays pretty darn flat.

There - enough pats on my own back. (I am really proud of everything about that quilt) -- Well, I dont like the binding

And, the last pic is of me at the show. I finally found a use for that fleece that I got at J's a few years ago.

Anyhow - Im bushed. Is everyone quilting this weekend? Anything you want to chat about, feel free.

I really got lots of support from you guys this week while I was working on those last min quilts. I appreciate it very much. I was feeling sick and tired -- but the online encouragement really helped me keep working.

I hope I offer that back to people.

The pictures are great PM. Love the picture of you - great hair. Sounds like a fun time tonight! Bartering a tatoo for your quilt, he got the better deal, your quilts are outstanding!

I do plan on sewing all weekend. Its snowing here right now and I have one quilt done just need to finish the binding and the second one I'll quilt tomorrow.

The pictures of the fiesta tablecloths AWESOME!!!! gosh I want one, love those dishes (red, blue, yellow and green at my house). Amazing that was your first quilt!

You just keep on inspiring us more and more! I can't believe you made it out of t-shirts, I was thinking Kona cotton or something like that!

I seriously want to eat and chat with friends at that table. The quilt and the dishes together are AMAZING! It looks so happy and friendly. I could hang out there.

I'm at the Bernina Retreat! Well, I'm here early. In the hotel. Tomorrow morning I pick up Brigita at the airport and we are going to play in Chicago for the day. Then Sunday morning and early afternoon we can do whatever before starting the retreat that evening. Super excited to be here.

Great use of your fleece!

Love the outfit.

Oh, that was my first quilt with "y" seams -- not my first quilt ... I think I made it all on the Ambition though. When I still had that machine.

My friend loved to set tables that make it look like he is having 100 people over .. but - like me, eats standing up in the kitchen or, at the computer -- but, when we get together we do extreme tables and eat off them!

Oh yes -- S -- you are in Chicago! Im guessing its like when I go from Maine to Florida in February - except warm to cold for you? Ive never been to Chicago - I have friends there and other fronds from there who live here.

I cant wait to hear what you learn about.

I think the tattoo ladies and I got good deals - they did work on me before - and I really like them .. their parlor is right beside (shares a wall) with my old store. (I had a vintage once upon a time) And so .. I think that is part of why I like them so much.

They got the blue quilt in the middle.

I have talked about that quilt here b-4 .. but its raw edge applique and is made from tee shirts, too.

I dont like the t-shirt quilts with blocks made from decals -- but I like these styles. And, raw edge applique is so easy.

And the costume!! I loved it, too--- Drag in the winter is really hard because -- I dont want a entire ladies closet of clothes - I dont need a few winter coats for drag for anything - so, using this warm fabric really worked out great -- Im going to do more of it.

Love love your quilt and that table is spectacular!!

I also was admiring your Dawg blue skirt!! too cute

Wish you lived closer so I could learn from you!! Or sew in the middle of the night with anyone 2:30 am here and I'm working on Bonnie's Clue #3 -- Need to cut more of the white/black and purple as I came out 4 short hahaha Then it's cutting into the lushious Turquoise! Yumm

Glad to hear you get down to Florida and warm in Feb.

Seriously?? A Retreat in Chicago this time of year? Well I'm happy and jealous too -- Learn a ton and then come tell us :-)

Ok back to the last 4, maybe a quick computer game or something. I never can sleep much at night - well I don't like to.

Portland, are you going to do the Mystery Quilt or are you having a WELL deserved rest from your lovely Show?

I do have a blog for my posts - your so nice to make a suggestion like that.

A few people had asked for a report on the show - and that was my version of a report.
