Can I line this fleece jacket? (Simplicity 4032) What fabric(s) could I use?

Date: 12/14/12 11:46 PM Simplicity I would like to line this jacket to make it look nicer, but I am uncertain how to do it. I am a complete beginner with garments. Do I need to use a knit fabric since fleece has some stretch? Thank you!

I have used tricot in the past, but there are even some stretch woven linings, that I saw in Fabricland, but I have not used them. Nice pattern. Enjoy Pam

It would be easiest since I could treat it as one layer. ha! TamNearPDX, good suggestion! Thanks chelsy21! Pamela R, never thought of using Tricot. I like this suggestion too. I haven't worked with it before, so that would be a new experience, I like that idea. Thank you for the ideas ladies.

I stitched it to the fleece, sort of quilted them together. Given that your pattern is a more fitted one, I would go with a lighter knit fabric. My jacket turned out heavier with what I did. I made mine to wear to baseball games, and needed the extra warmth.
