8 members like this. Date: 12/15/12 4:23 PM It seems like every time I go into my local Joann's store, someone is complaining. Not enough people cutting or checking out, coupon issues, (someone went ballistic today because the 50% coupons don't pertain to sewing machines), among other things. While I was in there, I commented to the manager that I was surprised that it wasn't more crowded, being a saturday near Christmas and all. She replied, "Oh, it was, you just missed it and everyone was complaining about something." I said, "I believe it, I've never been in a store where people complain so much." She comes back with, "before I started working here, I always wanted to help little old ladies, be nice them, open doors, etc. Now all I want to do is take them out in the parking lot and run over them." hahahahahaha |

Who, in their right mind, would think a 50% off coupon could be used on a machine?

Date: 12/15/12 4:41 PM It even says on the coupon that it can't be used on sewing machines, cricut machines, sergers, cabinets and lots of other high-dollar items. Customer was still mad as hornets so the manager finally said, "Look, I don't set policy, I just work here. You'll have to call the corporate office to complain." |

The store manager won't need to run them over in the parking lot; that will be accomplished by the husbands picking them up. Date: 12/15/12 7:57 PM I forgot to mention that the store manager was no spring chicken herself. I don't judge ages very well but I'm guessing between 60 and 70. I'm 51 so I'm no spring chicken either. |

10 members like this. Date: 12/15/12 8:07 PM Made me laugh! When I go to Joann's I make sure I have plenty of time and just stand there and smile while I wait in line. Most people are complaining about the lines, etc., and I just give them a big smile. It really miffs them. I, too, am no spring chicken at 61 but am quite happy I have lived this long and am healthy.
