Date: 12/17/12 6:11 PM Does anyone have any hints on how to transfer embroidery designs to my Bernina Artista 635 using a Bernina USB stick? My stick (I bought from store that sold me the machine) says Bernina 630/640/730/830. Is this the right stick? Also, my Bernina recognizes the stick, but does not see the .art files I put on it. Date: 12/17/12 6:37 PM Not sure about this being the correct stick. If you gave the dealer the model, then they should have sold you the correct product.
Are the files (1) unzipped, (2) are you sure the format is art and not exp, (3) are the files within the size of the hoop you have attached to the EM?
I would try at least one EXP file to see and if it still is not working, call the dealer. ------ “I don’t give them Hell, I just tell the truth about them and they think it’s Hell.” — Harry Truman |

Date: 12/17/12 6:50 PM I used to own a Bernina 630, which is almost identical to the 635. These machines read the .EXP format, not .ART. ------ Patricia

Bernina USB
Hoping the 2gb USB sticks that hubbie found at Fry's today will work. They did not have the 2gb size at Target, Best Buy or Radio Shack. -- Edited on 12/17/12 10:13 PM -- ------ I have no idea what Apple thought I was saying so be a Peach and credit anything bizarre to auto correct. |

Date: 12/17/12 8:20 PM Sewnanny is correct. The 635 reads .exp files not .art. ------ Pfaff Performance 5, a few Berninas, several vintage multiple manufacturers. Love all my machines!

Date: 12/18/12 6:43 AM Thank you all! I did try opening an .exp and it opened. Darn dealer...they sold me the machine just last month and should know these things. Also, I wish the huge instruction manual would tell me these things! |
