Renfrew back of cowl too high for short neck

Has anyone tapered it from front to back? I have tried this on KS3740 and it worked, but cowl is designed different on this one. Thank you

With the collar flat, before it's attached to the neckline, run a row of gathering threads on each side of the CB line, then place a piece of twill tape or seam binding on the wrong side of the collar, between the gathering lines and stitch the gathers in place. I did this the other day on a self-drafted knit collar; a 10" high collar piece was gathered into 4", then folded so that when it was attached to the neckline, the back was only 2" high and the gathers created a very graceful "guide" for the rest of the collar to follow. -- Edited on 12/21/12 6:07 PM -- ------ “Never try to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and it annoys the pig.” -Robert Heinlein and Ann's father.
