Had a few HECTIC busy days, but it was SO AWESOME to be able to sew WHILE Princess was stitching out embroidery designs!

I am making some snowflakes for the Sandy Hook Elementary kids, AND working on my Christmas quilt at the same time. YAY!

The new machine sews like a DREAM! It is so smooth and quiet and VERY similar to my other one, AND.....

drumroll and angels singing and joyous happy music.....

BOTH machines have the same footprint and my acrylic surround for my table FITS around the new machine!!!!!

I can sew with BOTH machines IN the cabinet!! I don't need to buy a new piece for my table! doing a HAPPY DANCE!! That was SUCH a pleasant surprise!!

I am getting used to the new machine's buttons, I keep tapping the (non-touch) screen. I haven't played with the stitch sequencing or editing yet. Princess does it SO WELL I am sure I'll use her for designing stitches. (the touch screen is just too awesome for creating, editing and sequencing stitches)

Learn, about the price. Machines around here are MUCH higher than what I see listed in other places. The Pfaff Quilt Expression 4 retails here for around $3,000. The Janome (different dealer) 6600 retails for around $2,200. So I got mine for a LOT less than the $3,000 price for a new QE4.

You all will appreciate this:
My husband got me some really cute flannel froggy pajamas, and I was showing them to my oldest daughter, saying "Look at how CUTE the frogs are!" And she said "Aww they ARE cute, what is it?" I said "they are pajamas!" She said "Oh I thought maybe it was fabric!"

Only quilters kids would even THINK that it may be yardage instead of ready to wear clothes!

She got the Pfaff Quilt Expression 4, I think. We call it the QE4 for short.

See Second Machine Saga, page 9 for a link to the machine.

So glad you are enjoying your new machine so much! That's great about the acrylic surround working for both, saves at least $70!
