baby gowns help with hand cover & collar binding
afletcher770 Member since 12/27/12 Posts: 1	Login to reply to this post Like this post Date: 12/31/12 7:21 AM I'm making baby gowns for my granddaughter that is due Jan 15 (YAY!) and I would like to sew in the little flap that can be flipped down to cover her hands but its not in the pattern...I know its something very simple but I just can't get it right... can anyone help with this? Also, I tried to use center fold elastic to finish the collar and it looks a bit off ...any help there either?? thanks SO much!

Now that you have the basic structure, you may want to finess it to a better shape, and I would probably cut it into the sleeve itself, and then you will only need 1 "D" shape for each sleeve. Hope that this makes sense. Congrats on the new one to come, my daughter is expecting in May....That was my very best Christmas Gift! Happy New Year. Pam
