Your experience with pseudo-Bernina feet

I see on eBay that there are feet that state they are not genuine Bernina-made feet, but they look like the real deal. Does anyone know how those feet perform on the machine? Thanks for your input.

I got the Bernina shank adaptor and the feet worked just fine. ------ re-living my youth through sewing...

They work just as well as the Bernina feet except, I found the Bernina invisible zipper foot worked better than any of the others.

I compared it to my branded Bernina #57-D foot and it is strikingly similar. Time will tell if it holds up as well as the real thinig, but from the looks of it it should be just as good. I've heard stories about the Bernina brand #34 foot (plastic) being extremely prone to breakage. I was shocked because they're known for their super high-quality feet. I use the #34 foot as my normal sewing foot on both my machines; never any breakage. The one I've had since 2003. It doesn't have a cut out for thread, so you have to stitch the top thread down through it, that's my only complaint about that foot. It offers great visibility.

Maybe if you start sewing off the fabric, rather than always having fabric on it, it is more likely to break? As for stitching thread down it- our dealer taught us a neat way to put it on, where you put the needle through it first, grab the thread, and then clip it in place, that way it is already 'threaded'.

I just bought a new bernina and want to play with some of the feet, but saw the knock-offs were a lot cheaper and I'd actually be able to buy all the ones I want to try out, but I don't want to waste my money if they will be crap.
