Date: 1/1/13 0:34 AM I just signed up for the class today. Laura Nownes teaches it. In addition to a teacher, she is an author.
I did watch some of the first lesson. However, when she got to the actual cutting and sewing of the block for January, I was lost. I guess that I am too much of a "beginner". I did look at the materials list and instructions. But I was still not too clear on what's going on.
Anybody else going to join the class? |

Date: 1/1/13 9:45 AM I signed up as well and I'm finishing up the last Craftsy BOM quilt with Amy Gibson. I watched the new intro video briefly last night and I didn't really like the look of the finished quilt. I might play along though. ------ I'm finally a blogger!

Date: 1/1/13 10:40 AM I can see there will be a lot of good techniques to learn but I think I'll pass. The finished quilt is really not to my taste.

1 member likes this. Date: 1/1/13 11:40 AM I just enrolled. It's free, so how can you lose? I just discovered Amy Gibson's BOM class a few weeks ago and have just two more blocks to make before I'm finished. I've learned so much from Amy's class and hope to learn more new techniques in 2013. ------ Patricia

Date: 1/2/13 5:40 AM I have signed up for this too. I like free. I also signed up for Amy's class last year, but got only two blocks done, so I will be making two quilts this year. I'll have to spend less time on the computer. ------ Nancy B.

Date: 1/2/13 9:25 AM I signed up. Love to see different ways of doing things. I tried to peek ahead, but since it's only one month at a time it will go slow. But it's free. I have paid for lots of their classes, most are good...especially since I just had my internet speed upped. |

Date: 1/2/13 9:39 AM I just got an email for this class today!
I will pass too, the only think that interests me is the partial seams, but I think I can figure them out if I had to.
I wouldn't take it tough to make a quilt, but just to learn the techniques. ------ Cathryn |

1 member likes this. Date: 1/2/13 10:01 AM I wonder if they will have another class on how to quilt it. I wasn't really interested in the first BOM until I saw Leah Day's class.
I signed up, as I like many of the blocks in the finished quilt, but I really don't like the quilt. It doesn't seem cohesive at all, just a bunch of random stuff thrown together. -- Edited on 1/2/13 10:14 AM -- |
