I have a petite UY dress form with a size 3 shell. I altered the shell to fit me (did not use the instructions that came with the shell, as I just couldn't figure them out). Anyway, I put the shell on the form, and except for needing to pad out the hips/butt a bit (which I don't see being a problem) it fits and measures EXACTLY like my measurements EXCEPT for the bust point. My bust point is 8 1/2" from the shoulder and it is 9 1/2" on the form. So my question is, would those boobies somehow magically rise an inch if I figure out and follow the directions or what do I need to do to get those boobies up?

Most of us have had to do surgery to move them up. It's not hard to do. I also did a reduction after the mastectomy and put the remaining inside a bra on the form. You can read lots of people's experiences with this dress form plus see pictures on the thread I started HERE. I hope it helps you and good luck. I still love my form and use it all the time.

Thanks for replying Sherril,

I could not get to the link you mentioned, although I have read through pages and pages of forum posts about this dress form. I have seen where people have carved up the form, and really didn't want to do this unless I absolutely had to. I was hoping that there was a trick to sewing the cover, which would somehow magically lift those puppys, but I guess not.

If I do a mastectomy and raise them an inch, how would I glue them back on the form? I don't understand how you keep them in place with the way you have to struggle to get the fitted cover over the form, when they are not an integral part of the foam core?

Put them in a bra with a tight band. That will keep them in place.
