Trying to post code for a badge in my WordPress blog Grr!

I'm trying to post a badge into my blog and I'm having difficulty. I want to post the badge in my Widget section. I go to the site that has the badge and copy the code. Then I get into WordPress and I'm lost. I click under Widgets, and can't find any widget with a badge name. I try using Image, but that confuses me more, as I don't know which box to paste the code.
