Date: 1/8/13 2:50 PM I really am LOVING this embroidery thang! I always thought of machine embroidery as being mostly for baby bibs and towels and such, and never realized the gorgeous designs available nowadays!
I never wanted an "embroidery" machine, because I felt (and still do feel) I'd "have to" embroider things or I was wasting money on the machine.
With Panzy being a sewing machine, with the embroidery unit an "accessory", I don't feel I "have to" embroider, or only embroider useful/usable objects. So I can embroider designs just for the fun of watching them as they stitch out, and gazing at them afterwards...all guilt-free!
But I'm surprising myself with how often I do actually use the embroidery on usable things, especially on otherwise plain little knit tops. ------ I heart Panzy, Pfaff Creative Performance, the sewing machine love of my life! On my radar someday: Babylock Serger, and some machine for travel.
My dearest wish is to have Bernina come out with a machine that doesn't give me a reason to *not* buy it.

Congratulations on the new machine. I've fallen off the embroidery wagon for about the last 6 months, but really want to get back to it. ------ Karen

Date: 1/8/13 4:32 PM I've been embroidering since 2004. They have come out with so many great designs. I have quite a few. Embroidery isn't just for kids and towels anymore. You might want to check out these places
BFC Creations
Urban Threads
Sue box designs
Anna Bove
Zundt designs
And of course you already know about secrets of. Just a few to look at while Pansy is embroidering away
You will also need a external hard drive to back up all the designs I know you are going to collect -- Edited on 1/8/13 4:39 PM -- ------ quiltingwolf.blogspot.com |

Date: 1/8/13 4:54 PM Changma you should check out the group on Delphi called Friendly sewing. A couple of the girls there hunt down the freebies. It's a nice forum. Also they post a lot of freebies at Sew Forum but I don't care for that forum too much. ------ quiltingwolf.blogspot.com |
