That's not a good price for a Craftsy class- they run $19.99 site wide sales about as often as Vogues go on sale for $3.99.

Is 14.95 a good price?

Yes! The Couture Dress class is well worth $15. I learned more in that class than in any of their other classes and I've taken most of them. I'm waiting for the new pattern fitting class to go on sale.

Me too!

As an aside, I'm happy to see gardening and baking added to the bunch and that photography one looks really good too!

I got many Craftsy classes as a Christmas gift from my DH. I've not yet finished viewing all of "The Couture Dress", but oh my gosh at the information! That class is worth $49 any day, IMHO. I will watch all of the classes and then go back and follow along, creating my garment. At least that's my plan! Susan Kaljie has a very pleasant, unhurried and very meticulous teaching method. She comes across as very down to earth and has an incredible background of knowledge and experience. Now I want to take a class with her in person!

Check out Classes on sale, some 50% off.
I got this info thru the Sew So Easy newletter.
She also has a list of Fabric shops online, many which I haven't seen before.

Has any one tried Janet Pray's new Sew Better, Sew Faster: Advanced Industry Techniques? This is the follow up to her first one on the same topic. Looking at the reviews on Craftsy isn't helpful because they usually only post the positive reviews. And there isn't a review here on PR yet - which I know will be more reliable. TIA

I don't know...they don't seem to have those $19.99 sales much any more...and their new classes are usually $39-$49. I think they started out with lower prices, got us all hookedand then adjusted their pricing plan.

That's not to say some of the classes aren't worth the higher prices...

I was wondering if this sale (up to 50%off) was the best deal they have now? I haven't seen the $19.99 sales for a very long time.
