Date: 1/9/13 2:11 PM Hi! I have read many of your posts about using Mirror Glaze on vintage machines. But WHICH Mirror Glaze do you use? There are, I think, 7 or so different Mirror Glaze products, I got all confused looking at them and trying to figure out which one to use.
Thanks for your help! ------ My Singer crew:
Sergei - Serger 14T968DC (set up as coverstitch)
Stella - Serger Stylist II 14J250 (set up as main overlock)
Quincy - Quantum 9960 (my main SM)
Newest addition: Stevie, my very first Featherweight! (221 Centennial) |

Date: 1/9/13 4:34 PM Just to clarify - use the glaze on the vintage black Singer machines? Does the glaze clean and then add a protective finish?

Date: 1/9/13 4:49 PM Yes, it works on any shiny, automobile-like surface. I wouldn't use it on a crinkle finish, or a finish that is naturally dull.
Be sure to clean the machine first with lighter fluid. |

Date: 1/9/13 5:21 PM And I think a coat of carnauba wax afterwards is a good idea. To the best of my knowledge, the Mirror Glaze is more polish than it is protectant. ------ My Singer crew:
