How many presser feet do you have? ...and do you use them?

It made me think of all the feet I have, and I have come to the conclusion that I am a presser foot junkie, a sewing millipede,..that I have a real foot fetish. Luckily, most are generic (and the ones I have used work fine) but I have sworn off any more feet for this year ( which is easy, since I have most that will fit my Singers ). So what about you? Any favorites, can't-live-withouts, trash or treasures? What do you recommend whole-heartedly, and what do you kick yourself for buying? Please, do tell! -- Edited on 1/13/13 9:03 AM --

I use all of them for at least one project a year and about half of them frequently (on a couple of projects a month). I don't have any feet that I have never used. I use my reverse pattern and walking foot the most. My favorite foot is the ruffler. I don't use it often, but when I need it, it is really handy.

However I could not live without my 1/4" foot and SITD foot which I use most everyday. My faves that I couldn't live without are the concealed zipper, walking, teflon, clearview (for the CP900), auto buttonhole, SITD and 1/4". I use each of these at least a couple of times a week. Total for all my machines I think I probably have about 35 different feet but some of them came with machines when I bought them and I don't use some of those feet. At last count, I have around 60, not counting the accessories like the ruffler and bias binders. Bernina feet are exceptional and made to do a specific job. I've used all of them at one time or another. Favorites are 1/4 inch, edge stitching, and open toe. I don't use it much now, but a couple of years ago I did a lot of embellishing and loved my cording foot that holds up to 9 cords. The ones I have my eyes on are a ruffler, binding foot, pintuck foot, 7 cord foot and and edge join foot. I'm starting to try heirloom techniques and embellishing, hence the pintuck, cording, and edge join foot. I hate sewing on binding, so that foot sounds wonderful. And I like to do kids clothes, so the ruffler is a winner. There are some really cool feet out there, I keep eying them up when I see them online or in my local sew and vac. Mary

My favorites are the open toe foot... so much easier to see! All the sm have their own open toe foot! I also like 1/4 foot, zipper foot, walking foot & buttonhole foot. ... I want to get the zig zag attachment for the older sm too. I just like the way it works. ------ I am a gal from Kalamazoo.... oh what a gal... smile.... Date: 1/13/13 12:54 PM Footsie Junkie here! 39 for my Ellie G ... and 33 for the Horizon My Ellisimo came with all of those with the goodie package deal that was offered at an embroidery event that I attended. When working with her just last week, I realized I don't have a piping foot for her. I've hand picked the feet for the Horizon (for the most part) and I think I've used all of them. Including fun ones for embellishing. I've also got the mammoth binding attachment for the Horizon... and it is fun to use. I also bought a low tension bobbin case for the Horizon for FMQ'ing. It's nice to not mess with the tensions and instead just pop in the other bobbin case. The EG came with 3 bobbin cases. ------ nightowlsally.com On my radar someday: Babylock Serger, and some machine for travel. I have a lot of feet.. Since some of my machines are older.. I don't have complete collections .. And I hesistate to add more feet to my newer ones. since if you add up all my machines.. and all the feet I already have.. I can probably come up with a combination I need at any given time.. One of these days I will sew.. and sew of course can probably tell you more then.. but for now.. with all my home dec.. its mostly every zipper foot every made.. for every machine I have. I never kick myself.. I leave that to Mr. P.. who can no longer kick anything .. there are blessings in getting old..
