Here in the typically warm Phoenix AZ area, temperatures have dipped into the 20s putting all our trees and shrubs at risk for frost kill.

My fabric Stash provided many large pieces of fabric to wrap our trees with - and hopefully saving our trees!

This 30 foot tree is the hit of the neighborhood in its earth-toned stripes!

I knew that Stash would prove useful!

Lol, but seriously the Earth has turned on its head because it was unseasonably warm in Vermont today for January, 50 degree temperature is not normal!

Stash to the rescue!

Yes the weather is odd again this year. Buffalo area yesterday in the mid 60's and low 60's today. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the low to mid 30's!

Wow--that's a great idea! Last fall DH put a heavy king-sized *comforter* on his morning glories, because it was the only thing big enough. I never thought of breaking out the stash.

That is great! Thanks for the chuckle! When I lived in DC and we had an unusual cold snap, all the old sheets and blackets would come out and be thrown over plants and shrubs---it was a funny sight!

Here in the Northeast, my trees are too big, but then they can stand the freezing temps. And my stash isn't large enough to throw over 40 foot maples.

But it's warm today; will get up to 55--unheard of for January.

Nippy here the last week. 20 in the daytime and about 2 at night. Snow on the ground since before Christmas.
I love it! Perfect weather for sewing.
