2 members like this. Date: 1/14/13 12:32 PM This time of year, loads of people set their sewing resolutions, and a common one is to sew one item from each Burda magazine.
I'm very proud to say that I completed The Burda Challenge in 2012! I had a few duds, but I also had some real successes, too, and by a stroke of luck, I actually finished the last garment on New Year's Eve.
Is anyone planning on doing it for 2013? ------ www.fehrtrade.com |

Date: 1/14/13 3:39 PM I really wish I could do this but getting a Burda each month is a hit or miss for me, I only know of one store chain that carries the mags and they only stock one or two each month and if I don't get there in time I don't get it.
You can try posting this in the blog sew along thread.

I've also heard of someone who chose to be strict on the month, but not the year - so she's sewing a pattern from one of the January issues in January, etc. Sounds like a good way to make better use of your own personal archive!------ www.fehrtrade.com |

Date: 1/16/13 5:44 PM This might be more my style (literally) because Alaska seems to be 1-2 years behind the trends. I'm looking to start color blocking soon. ------ dawn

Date: 1/17/13 12:27 PM I'm thinking about doing this - one garment from each issue of Burda for a year . First, however, I have a project, I MUST finish for a client - my deadline is looming in the not so distant future, but then I am FREE to sew! So, the first month (January) I may not quite make it, but if I plan . . . . . I am going to try ------ Kemish |

Date: 1/18/13 5:27 PM I have been planning to sew one garment from each Burda Mag during 2013; however, I do like the idea of sewing from any January Burda issue regardless of year. So, yes -- I'm hoping to do it. |
