5 members like this. Date: 1/18/13 6:52 PM Maybe the workload at the office. Maybe the stress of these final months of classes. Or maybe just the blah of the after-Christmas blues...but I want sewing machine STUFF!!!
So bad a case I had, I drove for 30 minutes out to one of my sm dealer's just to see what kind of sewing machine stuff they had that I didn't...yet...and could buy.
I came home with a couple of sm brochures and 3 packs of needles. Didn't need any needles, but can always use more (firm believer in changing needles very often)...but in truth, I just wanted some...well...sewing machine stuff!
So what's on your stuff list?
(And maybe I can add it to mine. ) ------ I heart Panzy, Pfaff Creative Performance, the sewing machine love of my life! And Rupert (Pfaff 2023), Baby (BL Enlighten), Victor (BLCS), Ash (Bernina 350SE), Pal (Bernina 530), Kee (Bernina 750) and the Featherteen Flock!
Most of all, I heart Woo (HimmyCat). Until we meet again, my beautiful little boy. I love you. |

Date: 1/18/13 7:02 PM Fabric, lots of fabric. It is hard to sew if you do not have much to choose from in your stash.
I know how you feel. Some days I just want to go to the LQS so bad to just see and touch the fabric. Once I have done this, it is under control for a few days. Then I have to go see and touch and buy a yard or two or a new tool. It got so bad a couple of weeks ago I had to go and buy some of the flower pins. I spent $12.50 on the package and I still have not opened them, but I HAD to have them that day. I could not stand it any longer. I had to go to the quilt store. ------ Quilting is relaxing to me. I love to play with fabrics, patterns and colors.

My stuff list - more hoops, especially the Grand Dream Hoop and The Grand Endless Hoop. More rayon thread (I have enough poly and the entire line of Jenny Haskins metallics), a small machine, a Juki 2010Q, a travel case for Beauty, a travel case for the Black, a new cutting table. That list outta hold me for awhile, lol! ------ Berninas - with a few vintage other makes, love them all |

Date: 1/18/13 7:32 PM Well, I want LOTS of stuff, especially pfurple stuff, but I am trying to control myself. Just got a little Arrow Suzi Sidekick because I already HAVE lots of stuff that needs a home. All I have any realistic idea of getting right now is fabric for my Craftsy couture dress (already have the lining, organza, and bodice fabric-won this really pretty tapestry-like Ungaro fabric at the PR party in NY) and those double quilting pins that look kind of like hairpins, which Susan Khaljie spoke about in the class. Obviously, Lynn, there is nothing on my list that you would want (or don't already have). |

Date: 1/18/13 7:55 PM I have a workaround solution for that and it involved a coffee stirrer and some tape, if you are interested I can post a pic for you.
I don't want anymore stuff, I'm trying to get rid of the stuff I have..... Ok that's only partially true, I would like to swap the stuff I have for,
- a decent cutting table, instead of the dining room table or floor
- a stand of the proper height for my Babylock (OH yeah and all the feet for her), and a soon new to me Bernina
- an organized sewing room - with all of the above incorporated.
I want a space that is easy to vacuum and clean, with a wall sized board for keeping inspiration and SWAP plans.
- binding attachment for my industrial sewing machine
- a few more Bisley cabinets to keep attachments in, ideally one per machine. Just love how flat those drawers are, when they come out they're more like trays.
- Pouncing bag and chalk for marking quilts
Oh and a cabana boy. ------ "A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.”
