I haven't had a chance to read anything else, but that girl told me that you were all solicitous that she was very touched, and so pleased that her mother had such nice friends.
You remember that I got sick the day after Christmas, well last Sunday I couldn't breathe. I mean almost not at all. DH and DS rushed me to the emergency room, and when they couldn't figure out why I couldn't breathe I was admitted to the hospital. I have suffered something called a "bronchio-spasm."
My upper respiratory system has been my weakness since childhood. I lived in Cleveland for twelve of my first thirteen years of life, and I had a father who smoked constantly, mostly pipes and cigars. At my age I still get ear infections like a child, and I get laryngitis two or three times a winter. So it is no surprise that I got some weird virus which caused all of this upset.
The pulmonologist (such a nice man from Brazil) says that I have been building up to this for some time so it isn't going to be cured immediately, which of course I hate, but what can you do? I have all sorts of meds and treatments and oxygen for assistance for while, but I already feel so much better.
So, back to the salt mines... ------ Barb |

Date: 1/20/13 10:20 PM You are a bit younger than I am, I think. Do you remember when the Cuyahoga River caught fire? When I tell the kids that the river so polluted it caught fire they half don't believe me. ------ Barb |

Date: 1/20/13 11:58 PM YES!!!! SO glad to hear from you! Glad you are home - now take it easy - and we mean EASY. Slippers, robe, warmth - no exertion - make everyone wait on you. If you don't wear that robe and slippers they will immediately think you are all better and can now do it all once more!!!!! :) ------ "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible."
