Date: 1/22/13 11:22 PM Is Brother Se400 good? It doesn't come with invisible zipper foot. where can I buy it and what model number it is. There are many different feet, I don't want to buy a wrong one. Does the zipper foot come with the machine works good? |

Date: 1/22/13 11:39 PM This is the foot according to the Brother website.
Many like this model. Then some decide they should have gone with a larger embroidery area. This is normally indicated by the size of the hoop that comes with the machine.

1 member likes this. Date: 1/23/13 3:34 PM I bought the Brother SE400 on Amazon last summer. It's an amazing little machine for the price. Simply amazing!
THIS is a link to the foot that will fit the Brother.
The price of that machine has gone down about $40 since I purchased.
If you don't already have an Amazon Prime Membership, you should sign up for the free trial just before buying the machine. The free shipping is worth it.... and after I did the trial, I kept the service because I do like the streaming video options they have free for members.

On my radar someday: Babylock Serger, and some machine for travel.
My dearest wish is to have Bernina come out with a machine that doesn't give me a reason to *not* buy it.

Date: 1/25/13 9:16 AM Have you seen the PE500?
It is less money and looks to be the same machine???
I have an older SE350 and it is a nice little sewing machine and the embroidery is really good on it for the price of these machines it is amazing!!! My first embroidery was only 4.4, still use the machine all the time for sewing but use my brothers for embroidery.
You can also get a repositioning hoop for these smaller brother machines hoop at amazon You still only sew a 4.4 inch field but you don't have to rehoop, just adjust to add more for a larger appearing design. If you have Embird or different software you can split a design and stitch it out larger in these hoops. Love Embird, use it all the time |

The 500 is embroidery only and the 400 is sewing and embroidery. |

Date: 2/11/13 1:12 AM I bought my se400 from ebay and sewed with it for 8 months and loved everything about it. Its embroidery worked like a charmed. The only thing about it was its 4x4 field. I wanted a larger embroidery field so I finally got a larger machine, traded my se400. |
