leather alternatives for jacket ex Burda Style

But despite it being made from nappa leather in the book what is an alternate fabric to use? Ideas please ?? Gaberdine ?? I am thinking like cotton blends, but dont want it looking rumpled looking. I would be tempted to use a cotton satin with some lycra in it. or boiled wool, or a reasonably stable knit. Nice design. Another option if you do not want to use a stretch fabric is to make a muslin...You may need to go up a size. Pam
