Help!
I have this machine - the 18-stitch version. http://www.janome.ca/machines/prl_18-25.html
think I must be losing my mind, but I can't find the overcast stitch that is clearly indicated in the manual. There are only 18 stitches - this shouldn't be hard!
I thought maybe the overcast stitch only came on the 25-stitch version, but no, I can't see it on that either. Am I losing my mind?
While I'm at it, it's supposed to have a 5mm stitch length that I can't find either!
Any thoughts?

Can you post a picture of the front of the machine showing the dials?

Hi,
The weblink shows the front of the machine and dials. I'm wondering if the bottom stitch on the PRL-25 (also at same weblink) is the overcast.
Let me know if you can see it.
Thanks

The overcast stitch is #10 and you also have to turn your stitch lenght dial to pink, past the 0 on the dial. The lenght is the top right dial, width is the middle make sure it's at the widest setting. I think yours has a width of 5mm and stitch lenght of 4mm. The web picture gets very blurry on my phone zoomed in, but those settings should work for you.

Thanks sew2006,
I guess I don't have the overcast stitch after all - number 10 appears only to be on the PRL-25, I have the PRL-18. I agree that the longest stitch length is 4mm on my machine, that's the best I've ever been able to get. Janome market it as 5.0mm, but perhaps they are referring to a newer model.
I appreciate the second opinion!

I'm pretty sure you have the overcast stitch. If you post a picture of your machine dials it makes it easier to the number of the overedge stitch.
