I can't find a picture of the back.... but the bodice has six gores total, three on either side. The skirt has four center gores, and then two outer gores that appear to be slightly larger, and it looks like the front/side pieces wrap around the back. -- Edited on 1/25/13 12:07 PM -- |

Date: 1/25/13 12:53 PM I like the curved panels. I wish I could see the sides better and get a view of the back of the coat, too.
By mid-summer I'm guessing Butterick may put out a similar-type coat [like they did with Michelle's red dress when she first visited the White House and her lime green coat at the first inauguration].
But will pattern companies copy the curved panels? I hope so.
Maybe StlyeArc might make a copy... |

Date: 2/8/13 8:33 PM I love that coat! The first pattern that came to mind seeing that was Butterick 5425 but now that I'm looking more that may need too many adjustments to work for you. Good luck! ------ http://alwaysjamesandlily.blogspot.com/

Date: 2/8/13 9:45 PM The side view shown indicates she was not wearing the glittery belt at some point.
However, I'd bet on serious underlining of every pattern piece with crisp silk organza. -- Edited on 2/8/13 9:46 PM -- |
