On screen editing with ellageo plus

The on screen editing is a plus for me but I have a question. Can you edit designs from your USB media or can you only edit designs built into the machine? I have the ellure plus right now and it's a great machine but I like the larger, color LCD screen as well as on screen editing capability. I'm hoping the ellageo plus will work for me due to $ and I'm still new to the sewing and embroidery world.

The fact it cuts the jump stitches is HUGE and there are many features on this machine that are really nice. This was Babylock's top of the line machine before the Ellisimo came out and a lot of people are happy with it. If you're willing to upgrade now after just jumping into the sewing and embroidery world, believe me, you'll enjoy that machine. I started off looking for a machine last year and was almost settled on the Ellure Plus, but wanted a machine I could grow into. i bought the Esante and loved machine embroidery so much, I traded it in after two months for the Ellisimo. I have really been thinking about this for a while and found out today BL will have 24 months interest free financing from Feb 1-4. My dealer will give me a great deal on the ellegante 3 (only $300 more than the ellageo plus) so I'm taking the plunge. Cannot wait to get it!

Like I said, the cutting of the jump stitches is HUGE and a major time saver. Not only that, but the Ellegante can do much more than the Ellageo and it has the auto threader as well. Do you mind telling us what your final cost on the Ellegante 3 will be? That is a great machine and for only $300 more than the Ellageo is a total no-brainer. My dealer sellls the Ellageo for $3895 and I believe the Ellegante for $5395...not totally sure, but the difference was pretty large. By the way, did your dealer have the Babylock UNITY at his store? Price will be around $4000 with the trade in of my ellure plus and without the trade in I think they said $4595. Crazy how that works. The ellageo plus quote was $3595 with the trade in. They supposedly have several ellegante 3's left over from a sale at Christmas so are selling them at that price. I have read in several places that the ellegante is being phased out so prices may start to drop. I found the ellegante 2 about 90 miles away used with 80,000 stitch count like new for 2995. Still deciding which way to go. What do you think?

Embroidery is fun but can be detailed and confusing particularly in the beginning.
