Date: 1/27/13 8:55 PM Well, when I went into Joann's last, I saw that their spools of thread doubled in price. What was once $3.50 is now $7.95, and I decided I wouldn't buy there again. Especially any kind of fabric, as in home dec. I saw a woman pull a bolt off the shelf and her fabric was $56.23 a yard, when the week before it was $29.88.
So I buy my Gutermann thread from Wawak now. ------ "We don't impose our rhythm on Nature. The key is to respect and live within Her." Jean-Charles Boisset, Winemaker

Date: 1/28/13 1:06 AM Yes, you have to be careful with their Notions Sales too. I don't know how many of those I've compared elsewhere and found that JA's jacks the price up so that when you think you're getting a good deal at 50% off, you're actually paying full retail price. ------ Judy |

Date: 1/29/13 12:50 PM I got some good stuff during their week of black friday sales. Last week I bought a bolt of interfacing with a 50% off coupon, but their price on batting is quite high these days. I'm better off getting it by the yard from the LQS oddly enough, or waiting and making a $50 order from connecting threads. |
