travel case/trolley? where to find them?

I need a big one, if there was an option for the embroidery arm that would be great too. I have found one, and that's about it! There MUST be others I am missing! It's a Yahoo group and you need to join it but then "look out!" there are all kinds of bargains to be found. Good luck.

Date: 1/28/13 1:15 AM Tutto do a killer case for the huge machines like the Bernina 8 series. They're well designed and after having used both two and four wheel versions of cases over the years to take machines to classes, I'll say the 4WD option is much, much easier to manage. Easier to pull, easier to turn, and your machine stays in a uprigth position, not tilted back. If you search for that brand you should get links to your nearest distributor or seller. ------ Quilting up a storm Bernina Girl

I only found Blue Fig on a few merchant sites but only one had both trolley and embroidery arm. I ordered. Was BO. I called. They would change to red and ship or ship the Julie pattern in a week. I waited and called. Still BO. Called again-BO. Finally in late Dec I canceled. Went to my BL dealer after holidays. They wanted $300+for a plain black canvas, trolley set. I unboxed and tried it- was solid and functional with padding and compartments and rolled effortlessly. But I didnt want boring black. So I went to a different online merchant in Jan and ordered the blue fig but only the trolley because no one had the embroider arm unit. Arrived. I assembled. OK, not great. Piled in my Evolution and everything for class- it was heavy. I got the feeling during use that I had loaded to much into it and felt the handle bar extension might crack. Instead my Evolution's back piece popped off and cracked. (still usable) Put in my portable machine for a sewing class. Had to take up interior space with lots of padding because I was worried about shifting and chipping. Plus I had to put in my lesson binders and class supplies. I really dont see how that handle could support the weight of the trolley and an embroidery bag when packed with the Ellisimo. I hope others chime in about it working because it worries me. The trolley has no pockets, padding, or compartments. No protection and trolley fabric is lightweight. I am thinking about custom fitting foam inserts but that won't solve the handle problem of breaking the handle if I roll it around a hall corner because of the weight in the trolley. I just got it a few weeks ago and need to do a review. So I am going to wait for a discount and get the BL dealer trolley. It's not the black quilted BL website trolley as my dealer doesn't keep those in stock- they are a special order- nearly $500! I am afraid to put my Ellisimo in the blue fig- its not worth the risk. So as far as I can figure out extra large trolleys are a niche market. -- Edited on 1/28/13 6:01 AM -- ------ re-living my youth through sewing...

After looking around alot at my Bernina dealer's and online I ended up with the Blue Fig case with foam insert for the embroidery arm and the Bernina bag made for the 830: This was a hard choice but it fits so well and protects it really well. It's just not easy to take it in and out of the case. I considered the Tutto, but while it is easier to maneuver, it simply doesn't provide the padding I wanted for my machine. They aren't cheap but I love mine. The section for the sewing machine has a frame in it to protect your machine.
