I just sewed my first Simplicity Amazing Fit pattern in a pair of pants. I have sewn a skirt before. They come in Slim, Average, and Curvy. I have the worst trouble fitting pants in that every pattern I have ever sewn leaves me with too much fabric under my rear. When I do a fisheye dart it makes them too tight in the rear. Anyway, I had read good things about the Amazing Fit pants patterns on a blog, so I sewed a pair and followed the instructions exactly, even taking one inch seams where they were called for. I tried them on and the fit was AWESOME. I wanted to jump up and down and shout. They fit me like I like my pants to fit me. I still cannot believe it. So my question is this: are the Amazing Fit patterns pretty consistent? In other words, if I do a different Amazing Fit pants pattern, can I expect a good fit?

This is exciting indeed! Congratulations. It would be more exciting for us if we could see a pic.

You could use this pattern as your guide. So when you buy another pants pattern line it up with this one and see if its the same in the crotch length and depth. If it is not make the adjustments to match.

It is S1696 That is a great idea about adjusting another pants pattern to this one.

When style did you use? average, curvy or slim?

Please post a review with photos too. We want to see the back!!

Congratulations! Pants are the one of the big frustrations in my sewing.
