Date: 2/4/13 0:25 AM My Mum lost her embroidery machine in our big earthquake 2 years ago (as I did) and claimed insurance on it at the time, but didn't replace it immediately. It was a Brother machine costing NZ$999 and that is what she was paid out.
Now she wants to replace the machine but Brother deleted that model and their cheapest embroidery machine is now NZ$2400.
She can go to a Janome machine for around $1200 but has invested a lot of money in the Brother design cards.
I've looked at a few free online file converters which will change her Brother .PES files to Janome .JEF but wondered if anyone has a converter they would recommend? ------ My vintage pattern page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dont-Call-Me-Cupcake/266315660055464 - come visit me! :) |

Date: 2/6/13 3:47 AM Thanks heaps for the link Mastdenman I ran a test file through and saved to USB stick, then checked my PE Design Next software and it turns out it converts files to .JEF as well! So I saved a test from there too and tomorrow we will go to themachine store and check they work. If so, Mum will have a new Janome :) ------ My vintage pattern page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dont-Call-Me-Cupcake/266315660055464 - come visit me! :) |
