I'm looking for a jeans jacket pattern in a size 7. Does anyone know of any out there? I've searched the big four plus Jalie and Ottobre and haven't seen anything. I want one with all the top stitching and snaps if possible, including back yoke, etc. I could probably draft one, but my time is at a premium.

I think the Jalie pattern has everything you're looking for, and it's available as a download. Yes, you have to do some taping to assemble the pattern, but the time required is less than that required to drive to a store to buy a more disappointing pattern.

Karla,

I didn't see that - probably because it's shown in an adult size. I didn't realize that they scaled down to include that small a size.
Thanks for the link.

Oh, Karla - I've printed it all out - all 56 pages of it! I have my tape ready! This is my first experience with Jalie patterns and taping patterns together! Sort of a daunting task - but the pattern is perfect! It has all those jeans jacket details I was looking for. My first project for my 6 year old great-grandaughter! Here goes!

ETA: Thanks again - I think!

My project this week is taping together 4 - FOUR - downloadable patterns, so I feel your pain. I'll be lucky if I don't wind up with a dog windbreaker when I'm done. Good luck with that pattern and all the topstitching. You are a devoted great-grandma!

EDIT: There are 7 reviews for this pattern, and it might be helpful to read through them. The first one I looked at is written by an excellent sewer and reviewer, and she describes the fit and some changes that might be worth considering - something about an error in the front neckline. Lisa's review I don't have time to read the others right now, but it might be worth learning from the experiences of those who have gone before us.

Jalie has a jeans jacket pattern available for download on their site. It's sized from toddler 2 through women's 22.

eta: I should have read all the responses first! Duh! I'd love to see a picture of the jacket when it's finished! It looks like a great pattern!

Silhouette's jean jacket

If you click on the pattern, the other side will appear with the sizes. You could wait until she offers it on a monthly special.
