Table Runner Batting Best One to Use?

I use Quilter's Dream for quilts. But, I don't want the table runner to "pucker up" when I wash it. I don't want a think batting because I plan to quilt the runner. Any ideas?

So, you mean that a poly batting won't shrink for me, but can still be washed. I see. And, I probably don't have to use a Quilter's Dream product - I can use anything that's sold at Joann's - just as long as I "pick a poly". Or, I can use flannel - just wash it a couple of times before I use it as a batting so if its going to shrink it will do so before I sew it into the runner. Yes?? Kippy

If it's yardage you'll preshrink that right? I like using thin Poly even in my quilts (I live in Arizona so thicker makes no sense lol). Mostly I don't bother with J's... Walmart has the thin poly batting cheap and it works great on table runners and place mat's (and Mug Rugs). If you wash the flannel several time before hand it won't shrink either. ------ I have great enthusium for sewing, but lack talent to be great. 2013

I always prewash my fabric. "puckering" is then minimal. I am not making any heirlooms, I just want it to look nice for the short haul! I love Quilters Dream for quilts but don't use it on table runners. ------ Pfaff Performance 5, a few Berninas, several vintage multiple manufacturers. Love all my machines!

I am not a beginner at FMQ. But I will say that I have not had any problems with craft fleece, or the heat stuff (cant think of the name) with all the practice I have done on potholders! But an 8" square is a different animal than a table runner ------ Pfaff Performance 5, a few Berninas, several vintage multiple manufacturers. Love all my machines!
