altering a blouse to a larger size alterations
gretchen hill   Member since 2/8/13 Posts: 1	Login to reply to this post Like this post Date: 2/10/13 7:58 AM though I measured myself and cut the corresponding size of the pattern this peasant blouse is about 2 to 3 inches too small from the upper chest to the hemline. What can I do? Should i insert an a strip of material about 1.5 inches into both side seams and also make the sleeves larger? Any ideas? Hopefully the picture will be available in this post. Are you larger than a B cup? What size pattern were you using? Remember pattern sizes are different than ready to wear. If you are larger than a B cup, you will benefit from an FBA(full bust adjustment). It will not only make things fit better in the width, but the length also.
