If that's true, then some mineralizer will be fed down the tube into your iron. Be sure that the filter is seated firmly at the bottom of the bottle, and that all of the mineralizer stays above the filter. The water then passes through the mineralizer and through the filter, and only clear water should be feeding into the tube toward your iron. You should only need 1 package of mineralizer at a time, and then change it as needed.
