OK, so DD is a teen and my days of making whimsical, cute girls clothes are long over. However, a couple of coworkers have preschoolers, so I am making 2 little dresses

I started looking at patterns, and then get on the SewBaby site (which I used to live on), and I discover all these wonderful designers-Ellie Inspired, Whimsy Couture, etc. I could easily buy dozens of these patterns. I don't remember this kind of thing available when my girl was little. OK, it was a long time ago. And I was busy with 3 small children.

I love to sew kids' clothes, so I may be in trouble here. I have a huge stash, also. This could be a definite obsession!

I so empathize!!! I didn't have a sister nor did I have a daughter. But now I have a GD and it's a little like heaven being able to sew for her!!! She is already 5. I keep telling her to stop growing so fast because Grandma has so many patterns she wants to sew for her yet!

Have fun with your obsession!!!

Thank you Lord for my Mother who taught me the joy of sewing, for my Father who encouraged my sewing, for the talent You gave me to sew, and for all the special people in my life to sew for.

Sewing for little girls is pure fun and lasts such a short time. Enjoy when you can. I am familiar with the two designers you mentioned. They are both wonderful. You may want to invest in one of Kari Mecca's books. They include the patterns and lots of inspiration.
