I haven't made a tshirt in years but am going to soon. I need a white tshirt and have some cotton interlock in my stash. I have Jalie 2005 (oop), The Kwik Sew book Easy Sewing the Kwik Sew Way, and Christine Jonson Baseware 2. I've made all these patterns before (years ago), prekids, but will have to pick a new size this time. I thought I remembered a review here at PR that compared at least 2 of these patterns, but after looking for hours I can't find it. If anyone knows what I'm talking about could you be so kind as to point me in the right direction? Thanks.
Of these 3 patterns, which one is your favorite and why? Thanks.

I have not tried the Basewear 2 pattern but I would still lean towards that or Jalie. THe armholes are waaay too deep in the Kwik Sew book.

I've sewn both the Jalie and the Christine Jonson top -- both excellent choices for style and fit. Good luck!

The Jalie is very close fitting and the sleeves tend to be tight. It's easy to adjust for size by tracing between size lines. I would really recommend doing a muslin for fit. I remember really liking their directions for doing the binding on the neckline.
The Basewear 2 has 5/8 inch seam allowances, so there is plenty of room to adjust for fit once you have it cut if you are at all within the ballpark of your proper size. I think it is cut with curvier style lines than the Jalie, so if you have hips it's a little more generous. The neckline finish is not bound but folded and stitched. Easy peasy.
They're both great patterns.
I am going for a level of perfection that is only mine... Most of the pleasure is in getting that last little piece perfect...Inspiration is for amateurs. The rest of us just keep showing up and doing the work.

I made both the Jalie and the BW2. I needed to make more adjustments to the Jalie(I am curvy). When I was done, I had 2 identical tees. I would recommend either...sorry I am sure that is not what you were looking for! Good Luck!
