My sister's daughter has requested this dress. Her daughter lives in Japan so she will be making this off her daughter's measurements.
She bought the pattern in the size needed, and when she got home to look at the pattern she realized it said "misses/misses petite". I don't live near my sister so I can't really help her. Does anyone out there have this pattern and can you tell me if this is a regular and petite or "petite only"? She does NOT need the petite size.
My guess is that it is a pattern that can be made into a petite size if needed. I see only 5 reviews on this pattern and no one mentions that it is petite only.

yes, it is misses and can be made into petite if needed. There should be lines marked "lengthen/shorten". If not, there are some wonderful tutorials that would show how if you ever need to make the adjustment.

I need to go the other direction. I wonder why they don't put misses/misses petite/misses tall on patterns? No, not really, I know petites outnumber us talls.

edited for spelling - not enough coffee yet.

I looked up M6350:

Usually, as previously stated, it's more of an option i.e. there are lines where you can add or remove length.

HOWEVER, if your niece is Tall, your sister might need to know these three key measurements:

1) Length btw shoulder at neck to bust point (for the strap length);
3) Length btw bust point and waistline (for the bodice itself);
3) Desired skirt length.

I am Petite myself, at 5', so opposite situation but I basically need these 3 to sewing ensure success.

The big bonus is that this is a A, B, C cut pattern meaning that you get different Front Bodice pieces to allow for fuller busts.

LOL! I know what you mean. I'm tall too and know nothing about petite sizes.

My niece is average height. I think My daughters and I stole all the height in my family.but I was thinking the same as you in that it was a regular size pattern that had modifications to make it in a petite size.
