Date: 2/19/13 1:48 PM I have a Janome MC 200e. The upper thread gets stuck in the upper tension and causes the machine to start sewing very fast and turn off. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? |

Date: 2/19/13 3:19 PM There may be thread or lint in your upper tension disks. Does it happen with all types of thread? You might be able to try to run some dental floss through it to clean it possibly. ------ Elna Excellence 740, Pfaff Quilt expression 4.0, Janome 300E, Brother 8500D, Janome 900CPX CoverPro, Brother 5234 Project Runway Serger, Singer Treadle

Date: 2/19/13 3:46 PM I'm pretty sure any thread getting stuck in the upper tension just cannot cause the machine to run any faster at all. So I don't think that is happening, and probably not related to each other that exact way at all. But, lots of machines when they can no longer even turn good and move instead because they have thread stuck in them, especially in the bobbin area, might really be smart enough to turn off their motor, and shut them selves down over it sometimes, even on purpose sometimes, to save the motor, and not let it overheat by thread binding the machine up. Don't know if yours is that "smart" or not. -- Edited on 2/19/13 3:47 PM -- |

Date: 2/20/13 0:59 AM Sounds like a "board" issue as in circuit board. A Janome dealer should be able to check it. If its the board, you could probably buy a new machine near what it will cost to fix it. ------ Brother ULT 2002D, Janome 6500P, Babylock Eclipse SX, Juki MO654DE, Janome Coverpro 1000CPX, Singer 15-91 |
