Date: 2/21/13 8:47 AM I just got some chiffon polka dot fabric. I want to make a blouse sort of like this Phillip Lim tank.

Anyone ever seen a similar pattern? Even vaguely similar? |

Date: 2/21/13 11:28 PM This one is OOP...OOP tank.
I have an older similar pattern but I don't even see it in the OOP section...it's this one.
The first one is sized for a stretch but you could make it work with some tweaking. -- Edited on 2/21/13 11:31 PM -- |

Date: 2/22/13 2:38 PM I would use a regular tank top pattern but cut it on the bias. |

Date: 2/22/13 3:02 PM I agree - regular tank pattern, but on the bias.
Also, for the ruffles, use a "flounce" not a gathered ruffle. Something like this:

That when sewn on look more like this:

(Pics are taken from a tutorial for a kids dress, and the ruffles are more vertical, but the idea is the same.)
If you don't have a tank pattern (or a RTW woven tank that fits you to trace), KS3848 and KS2761 both look like good starting points. But neither have any reviews. I suppose there's always the Sorbetto, but that more of a sleeveless top than a tank. |
