Date: 2/21/13 11:49 PM I did enough SITD to tack the top to the back. There is a batting. I really want to quilt like crazy circles everywhere.
I showed the person what I could do and she was enthusiastic about what I showed her but, Im a little afraid -- I dont want to it be too much. But, I think it would be really cool. Its hard to know. I think Ill do it.

Date: 2/22/13 7:34 AM That is fantastic! Love how colorful it is! Did you make the striped and checked fabric and then piece together? Trust your gut with the finish work--circles would be great and would reflect the circles in the Fiesta Ware. |

1 member likes this. Date: 2/22/13 8:31 AM I love myself a bright, free from quilt. That is for sure.
I did piece all of the segments. The stripes, checkers, and grids.
No pre planning or mapping for me. I just bought the fabrics, cut a 70 inch circle out of some fabric and started to make segments. I pieced them together as I went along covering the backing fabric. When it was all covered I did something I had never done b-4.
I used spray baste to baste the batting onto the back and cut away the extra batting - then pinned the top to the back an batting.
I super love it. ------ Drag queen quilter! |
