Date: 2/26/13 4:34 AM I really want to try more Kwik Sew patterns since I see so many post where people tell about their favorite pattern and that they are easy to sew and well drafted. I also like the sturdy paper they are printed on.
TIA

Date: 2/26/13 10:24 AM I haven't made it, but it's on my list: K2325
Made this, thought it was fantastic and well-drafted knit slip/nightgown: K3554
Haven't made these yoga pants yet, but read enough good reviews to buy it on two separate occasions: K3115
Just made these pj pants for dear Fiance, he loves them and wears them all the time: K2257
This was a "Best of the year", but is out of stock right now: K3740
Ann from Gorgeous Fabrics altered this one slightly, but turned out great (so much so that I bought it to make it myself): K3032
Be aware that the newer patterns are not printed on the sturdy paper and BMV is phasing them out. I bought one 'new' pattern from last year (K3874, which looks like a sad sack but would be cute if fitted correctly), but haven't confirmed it's on tissue paper yet. |

Date: 2/26/13 12:12 PM The top in 3032 is one that I made for my daughter many years ago when she was in college; she's asked for a new version of it, this time cut longer. She loves the drapey collar on it. ------ “Never try to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and it annoys the pig.” -Robert Heinlein and Ann's father. Thanks for the reminder, Ann.

Date: 2/26/13 12:58 PM I think pattern favorites are very subjective, depending on the individual, their fitting issues and their taste in clothing. :)
With that said (and I'm a big KS fan) my favourite for myself (so far) is KS2900, which I have made numerous times, continually refining the fit and trying to improve my sewing techniques.
For men, I like KS3299, KS3570 and KS3028 (all of which I am still currently working on, refining both fit and sewing techniques). I have around 20 more KS patterns in my stash. A few of those are very slow *works in progress* for myself (over the past two years!)LOL, but most I haven't even opened yet, including the lingerie pattern book, but I'm looking forward to trying all of them.

ETA:
I forgot about KS 2866 (which is for a woven). It has a simple dolman sleeve and turned out very nice in a rayon challis after a couple muslins. -- Edited on 2/26/13 3:26 PM -- |

Date: 2/26/13 1:09 PM KS3115 is probably the most used pattern in my stash --- I have made dozens of tank tops and yoga pants. Men's shirt pattern KS2935 is also a well used pattern in my collection. ------ 2012 : starting stash 386, net additions 206, used 164, ending stash 428

Date: 2/27/13 0:38 AM May I ask if you order your patterns from the Kwik Sew site? Do you belong to the ClubBMV; if so, is it worthwhile? It appears it might be since Kwik Sew patterns are rarely on sale here in MO. Thank you! |

Date: 2/28/13 10:52 AM I have been scooping up Kwik Sews on their website when they go on sale, although a lot of what I want is usually out of stock. I'm not sure if the older patterns on the site are also on tissue paper.
I do belong to ClubBMV; turned out I saved most of the membership fee on the first order. I like scoring the other BMV patterns when they go on sale also; I live close to some JoAnns and Hancocks but rarely have the time to go there to shop.
@Judy - thanks! I have the pattern already; I just haven't opened it up to see. Someone on here was lamenting you could tell the difference in how the tissue in the envelope feels vs the white paper, but that particular pattern has the side-open and not the top.
