I have seen that fabric and loved it. The store I go to also had it in red/white, dark pink/white, turquoise/white and some other color but it was the black and white that I was drawn to.
I can see so many possibilities with that fabric.

Date: 3/1/13 11:44 PM It would be nice for a simple jacket that has the reverse side of the fabric for the lapels |

Date: 3/2/13 0:22 AM It looks like V8881 calls for a 2-way stretch knit. The fabric you purchased only stretches from selvage to selvage, but not both ways. It's not a jersey knit either, but more of an interlock knit. It's more like two jerseys that have been bonded together to form one fabric.
I picked up 1 3/4 yds. of the fuchsia/white that shrunk to
1 1/2 yds. Also, 2 yds. of the red/white shrunk to 1 3/4 yds. I even used the recommended method of care. It's 65% Rayon/35% Cotton so I'm sure that had something to do with it. However, I'd rather have it shrink BEFORE I make it into something. -- Edited on 3/2/13 0:31 AM -- ------ Judy |
