Comparing the features ..the 11000 SE has more options. So....what is the deal with the 9900? Cheaper?? I have the Janome 9700 now and I want to upgrade for USB and better screen, etc. anone else shopping?

It has more stitches, The hoop sizes make more sense. For me as a quilter also it has the special quilting package. Has more tech options, cards, usb, directly to machine. That machine usually goes for an avg of $6000. The Pfaff PCP is $5K and is more up to date and even has more features then the 11000se. If I were buying a machine tomorrow I would buy the Pfaff. Also the 9900 is rumored to be around $5K for that price they left a lot out. But that is all on paper. You need to try them out and see which one speaks to you.

I see that the Janome 9900 has the same smaller hoop size as the MC200E 5.5 x 5.5. I own the MC200E and love the way it embroiders and I like the fact that sometimes I can do slightly larger embroidery designs without owning a 5 x 7 machine. My only complaint is the hoop size! You can't really find 9 x 9 precut stabilizer for this hoop. The standard 8 x 8 precuts are too small. Not a big deal if you want to cut your own, but just a pet peeve I have about this size hoop. I just wish that Janome would make a smaller 4 x 4 hoop for this machine so you could use it for all of your 4 x 4 designs, which I mostly do anyway.
