I have a pattern for a stuffed animal that I want to make a little larger. isn't there some way to outline the pattern (say by adding 2 inches all the way around) more precisely than just eyeballing it? not sure if this makes sense, but thought maybe someone would understand what I was talking about. thanks! LOL

And if that won't fit a standard 8 1/2 X 11" paper, try taking the pieces to a copy center. On pinterest I've seen people talk about getting "blueprint" copies of pictures that are like 2'X3' or was it 3'X4' - Something like that.

For me - 0
For others - 1.5 yards
For school - 25 yards

I've done that (photocopied a % larger). Just remember that the seam allowance increases too, and you can't ignore that on a soft toy as the pieces often won't fit together if you do ignore it.

A compass spread apart slightly would trace around that.

As was said above, don't ignore the seam allowances. Also, be careful increasing size; 10% is a big increase.
To deal with the seam allowance, be sure that the seam allowance line appears on the piece to be enlarged; if it doesn't, draw it in. Once the piece is copied, redraw the seam allowance, adding it from the original seam allowance line.
This works for decreasing size as well.
