I received an E-mail from Craftsy today about a girdle pattern that Barbara Deckert designed. The pattern is going to be too big for me in the hips but I can always take that in. What I really need now is fabric to make it.
Anyone know of a source for Power Net, Jumbo Spandex, moleskin or millskin? I did find some places on the net but the few I looked at required a min order of $20.
I need 1 yard.

Fabric depot co in Texas has all weights of powernet, including the floral embossed type that reminds me of Playtex.
They also have mystery boxes of lycra and this month they're on sale.
I saw she suggested jumbo spandex, I can't imagine a girdle out of that, it's the fabric used for mens skating pants and is quite thick for spandex. When I've used it for costumes, I use a zipper.
Christin Jonson has a body shaper pattern that goes up to size 24.

Fabric Depot has a fairly wide selection of shaper mesh and powernet ranging from lightweight to super heavy duty. She has inexpensive samples available and her order minimum is 1 yard. The website is fabricdepotco.com. If you give her a call and explain the project she will be able to recommend a few different options.
