What is a reasonable price for a used Brother Innov-is 4000d black edition with all upgrades?
Thanks
Kim

It really shouldn't cost anymore than a regular 4000d, but you might want to re-think your purchase of the black edition. I read alot of owners were disappointed that the black machine showed scratches quite easily and their machines look aged after only a couple of months. Many times the embroidery hoop will scuff the bed of the machine. Sometimes you can't see this on a white machine, but the black edition showed it profusely.

I don't have one, so I couldn't tell you for sure. But it does make sense and I have read that was one of the biggest complaints.

I am looking at one tomorrow that is 1500.00 with all updates and the continues hoop. Wondering if that is a good deal.
Thank you

I have also heard that the black ones have had some issues. I think 1500 is too much for it.

I think that's a pretty good deal, actually. If it's complete and has all the manuals, I would say go for it. The 4000d is just like the Ellegante by Babylock, correct? That machine normally sells on eBay for around 2500-3000, depending on condition, accessories, etc.

Did the seller mention what the stitch count was? That usually gives you an idea of how much it was used.

I think 1,500. is a reasonable price. Here's one on ebay that is not black this is the price.brother novis 4000d
I say test it out. If your not worried about scratches from the embroidery hoop as long the machine is in excellent working order. Minor scratches don't matter.
let us know. we would love to see that machine.

I printed the pages of the manual that show what it comes with so I can make sure it is complete. I saw the one on Ebay and I do think this is a good deal. I sold my Janome 350E for more then I expected so if it looks good Im going to get it

One last note-it let me register my serial number for warranty. The previous owner must have never registered.
