Can anything strengthen fingernails?

Creams, gloves, paint-on hardeners, right foods don't help. Must be another wonderful effect of "maturity"? Expensive, but it works. I used it regularly as a stewardess many, many moons ago, and now only when my nails get too soft.

The key for me, since I wash my hands a LOT due to work, is being absolutely relentless in the nail care department. My nails would split and flake--such a mess.

I take biotin and calcium 2xs a day. My nails are so much better. The biotin helped my 85 year old mother who had the same issues only worse.
