Date: 3/9/13 4:49 PM I think I'll stick to McCalls 5525, which I already own. So my pattern stash doesn't get out of control (like it isn't already!) But it's a great new pattern announcement for people who fit the Sewaholic body shape better than the Big 4 body shape. |

Date: 3/9/13 6:12 PM I'm loving it too!! But I haven't even made up the Mccalls one yet that has been in my stash forever, or the one from Silhouette trench pattern that I bought in the last year. Too many awesome patterns...too little time.

Date: 3/10/13 1:44 PM see what happened. I went to the sight and bought this pattern

I fell in love with a sweater that looks like this jacket. Now I'm getting the pattern and now I can make a jacket and sweater just buy tweaking the pattern a little bit.

Date: 3/14/13 10:39 PM I'm with you on the McCalls pattern. For me I prefer coat patterns that include linings. You can always opt not to do the lining, but it's nice to have those lining pattern pieces already drafted instead of having to draft your own. I can't imagine going to all the work of making a lovely trench coat and not lining it. I think you give up a lot in the looks department for the sake of "easy" and really, adding a lining or even a half lining doesn't make it hard, just a little more time consuming.
