Date: 3/10/13 2:10 PM Thanks to all you wonderfully enabling ladies, I adoped a 630 yesterday with embroidery module from a local dealer. I have a case that is missing one of those plastic feet hangers. Is this something that can be bought separately?
The embroidery unit came with a free arm embroidery hoop, oval and small rectangular hoop. Just checkin in here to see what else would have been included if I had bought it new? I will be planning on classes with the dealer when time allows, but wanted to know if there are resources online if I was missing instructional material for the embroidery unit.
I've been eyeing the 7 series as well, but due to it being a new release, I wanted to let things settle out and start learning embroidery with a more affordable option. Thanks to all your generous information here, I feel I was able to go shopping with fair knowledge of the machine capabilities and pricing. |

Date: 3/10/13 2:27 PM Congrats! The 630 is my favorite of many machines. Bought mine used, too. You will LOVE it.
Those plastic hangers are just a few bucks. You can get extra bobbin racks, too, or keep your bobbins elsewhere and put another row of feet there.
Online: exnovodesigns.com and I think, It's A Stitch and Keizer Bernina. For sewing tutorials there are videos on The Quilt Show and A Dog Named Banjo. -- Edited on 3/10/13 2:35 PM -- ------ 🌸 Plenty of machines, mostly Berninas 🌸 |

Date: 3/10/13 2:45 PM Congratulations on your new 630 -- it's a wonderful machine! The feet hangers, as well as the hangers for your bobbins, can all be bought separately. My dealer always has a good supply of them and they are inexpensive -- around $4 each. When I bought my 630, the embroidery unit only came with the large oval hoop. The free arm and medium hoops were optional. ------ Patricia

Date: 3/10/13 4:25 PM thanks Maia and Patricia for your info. Diana, I did not get the BSR since I am a garment sewer mostly. I am excited to learn embroidery though. Hmm, my sewing room is already crowded, I'll have to figure out space to store new supplies for embroidery.
Thank you all for sharing my excitement. |

Date: 3/10/13 5:30 PM I also just bought a beautiful used 635 but it didn't come with BSR or walking foot. Were both of those optional add-ons when they were sold new? ------ Let's just say all modern sms are well represented in my studio. |

Date: 3/10/13 5:49 PM At my dealer, the 630 came with the bsr and walking foot. With the 635 they did not. It should have come with the circular sewing attachment which was a standard accessory when bought new. ------ ~Diana~

Date: 3/10/13 6:03 PM KPM, congratulations on your new 635! Another dealer in my area had a 635 floor model for sale; it looks so festive with the bubbles. I had considered that machine, but my used one came up for sale. |
