I want to sew the Easy Kimono Dress by Pattern Runway, as seen here:

http://www.etsy.com/listing/74251400/easy-short-sleeved-dress-pattern-elastic

and here:

http://www.patternrunway.com/2011/06/how-to-sew-easy-kimono-short-sleeved.html

I've read that the sleeve facings on this patterns can be floppy. I recently made a simple Kwik Sew top that used bias strips cut from the same fabric as a way to finish the sleeve. I really liked how it looked. Is there any reason I couldn't do this with this dress? It seems like the sleeves would be easy enough, but I wonder how the neckline would go down, especially with the keyhole in the back.

Any ideas or tips? Thank you in advance!

I realized I posted this in the wrong forum, and will try to have this removed.

I think it would look great with bias trim. I am a fan of that look.
I do it on tops made for myself whenever the opportunity arises.
Just make sure you put the proper tension on the tape so that it will lay down correctly without being too tight.

I agree, it's more a question of like/dislike rather than if it's possible. I love using bias tape too
