Any got any ideas on what the Supplex fabric is like from FabricMart. The description says:
Supplex - high performance knit
82% Polyester/18% Lycra
Resists abrasions, punctures and tears
Holds its shape
4-way stretch
Medium weight
Falls moderately away to the body
Uses: Activewear, hoodies, swimwear, t-shirts, leggings, top, loungewear

I was thinking of tights for my daughter... or may be some leggings from me and a tee shirt for her... but the swimwear and regular wear is confusing me

The supples fabric in my favorite pair of tennis pants (Fila) is very soft and a little beefy. Not sure if this is same or not....

Which of their Supplex fabrics are you referring to? I have purchased several from them over the past few months and there are differences between them in weight, texture and even stretch. If you have a stock no. I could see if it's one of the fabrics I've purchased, and perhaps give you a better idea.

That's a wierd fiber content because Supplex is a trade name for nylon.

Well I want some good heat gear so I bought these

CBA4491 Supplex Knit Mint Green 62" Wide -summer legging
BRB5409 Supplex Knit White 60" Wide -blouses
BPB3273 Activewear Polyester Knit Cherry Red 61" Wide - Blouse

But I would really like to find some of that "Charged Cotten" Material... I am in inland SoCal and the summers can be brutal plus soccers and tee ball games....

You may be actually be happier with Dryflex, which is has more of a wick-away feature. As I understand it, the Supplex is more wind resistant (but still breathable, rather than wicking). They also have a nylon brand called Tactel that is very soft and stretchy, and supposedly antibacterial (not sure if that's good or bad).

None of the ones you purchased are what I have, but I did get Supplex in various fabric choices from FabricMart. Two were 89%nylon/11% lycra, two were 97%nylon/3%lycra, and one was 89%poly/11%lycra. The 2 89/11's were the same type fabric, stretch, etc, the two 97/3 were similar, thinner and stretchier like for tights or leggings, and the poly/lycra was more of firmer. Probably not that much help, but they were all listed with many of the same attributes that you listed for yours. I notice the thickness and thinness to be quite different. I also purchased some from fabric.com a couple years ago - both in the supplex and the dryflex brands and several others just called "high performance breathable knits".

I've only tackled a couple of the non-name brand HP knits, none of these (hopefully) better quality official brand named ones - but the men in my family are getting desperate for me to learn to sew better and quicker ASAP, so they can have various items for golf and other sports. LOL

What is "charged cotton material"? Never heard of it.

"Charged Cotten" a material Nike makes. It is very thin and breathable with some stretch. there is some wicking.... I am plus size so they don't readily come in my size and are quite expensive. So I was hoping to find a light breathable material for some summer blouses. I also had the idea of making a semi-spanks like bike shorts for wearing under summer dresses. Not as constricting as spanks and definitely more breathable.... But I will try google the wicking fabric

So I got my supplex and I was a bit ehhh....

I got item # BRB5409 a white supplex.... It matched the fiber content of the faux charged cotton but is really heavy so it is bottom weight not blousey and it has a shine to it... bummer. maybe I will dye it black and make yoga pants

I also bought #CDA3250 a honeydew supplex.. This is also very heavy and very similar to my Nike compression shorts. The fabric is matte so it is a win...

Then I got # BPB3273 which is a pretty red...not supplex and very shinny...

So I am still looking for the a charged cotton type fabric... that is light and airy with wicking capablities

I had ordered some supplex. It was extremely difficult to sew even with a serger. The fabric slid around quite a bit. I never finished the project. I hope you have better luck.
