I was wondering why I am a featured member and how did that happen? Can anyone explain this feature? Thanks

It's because you're extra special!

Actually, I don't know the correct reason but being special sounds good to me.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure either. I read everything that I could find that discussed features of the site, however, I couldn't find anything about "featured member". I have been a member for a year, but have only been commenting and participating for a few weeks. It was just a little startling to see my image on the home page when I logged in. I have only written two reviews so it seemed a little strange to me. It must be a random drawing of names. I did receive an email, however, it did not explain why.

I think it's probably random, but my guess is that they only choose to feature members who have participated in some way. I could be wrong.

You have to have written a review sometime quite recently, which I notice you have.

I just thought it was random!

I'm not sure about this -- I was featured member once last year, and I hadn't written a review recently.

I would swear I'd read that someplace here, but I sure can't find it now!
